Spotlight | Assistance League®of Pomona Valley

Assistance League® of Pomona Valley is a chapter of National Assistance League®, an all-volunteer, member driven organization. Assistance League® of Pomona Valley, is the eighth oldest chapter of more than 120 chapters of National Assistance League® and was organized in 1932-33 and chartered in 1946. Members raise funds and implement programs that serve multiple needs of children.

We operate a Dental Center in Pomona, which serves both uninsured and Denti-Cal children. Patients are usually referred by school district personnel. Often other family members can also benefit from our services. For information or to make an appointment call 909-629-6142 or email dentalcenter@alpv.org

Another service, “Operation School Bell®” provides a weeks worth of new clothing and a family care kit to children in need.
“Assault Survivor Kits®” are another service provided to assist the efforts of Project Sister, a local philanthropy providing assistance to victims of abuse. Kits with items of comfort and care are assembled and donated by us, and given to victims of rape or abuse when the Project Sister staff counsels them.

Our “Act of Giving” is an annual event each Christmas. ALPV and community members, “adopt” a family in need to provide them with a memorable Christmas.

We have two major fundraisers each year. Our annual Golf Tournament is every May and our Tea is held in February. We also have ongoing smaller events in the community to introduce ourselves and encourage community participation and promote membership. Volunteering makes a difference!

Visit alpv.org and find out how you can participate, donate or join us.

Our chapter provides services to the communities of Chino Hills, Claremont, Diamond Bar, Glendora, La Verne, Pomona and San Dimas.

It is qualified as a 501(c)(3) organization with the IRS.
